South America Agri exports started 2024 on a strong note, will it last?

Up +16% year on year! The cumulated Agri exports from South America at end of April 2024 with a record of 76.3Mt with Argentina’s corn and oilseed leading the push thanks to normal crops.

The strong performance is achieved despite Brazil’s crop lost some small volumes compared to 2023 and the late floodings in Rio Grande. LatAm crops supply & demand are healthy enough to sustain exports pace above last year and/or near seasonal highs. Pricewise South America has remained competitive compared to the US origin.
