IFCHOR GALBRAITHS has received the 2025 Dry Bulk Award in recognition of its contribution to the shipping industry’s annual fundraising initiative in support of African hospital ship charity Mercy Ships. Since its creation in 2016 Cargo Day has raised more than $20 million for Mercy Ships, helping to support the organisation’s work providing surgical care and medical training to communities with limited access to healthcare.
The award was announced at a gala event in Geneva on 30 September 2026, bringing together more than 500 guests from over 150 companies across the maritime and trading community. The anniversary event also raised more than USD 740,000 through its live and paddle auctions, demonstrating the continued generosity of the international shipping community.
