Soybean inventories at Chinese ports remained below 7Mt at the end of Jul’25, slightly under their 5-year seasonal lows – despite a sharp recovery since May.

Robust domestic crushing activity has kept inventories capped, while soymeal stocks, though still -33% YoY below record highs, have recovered close to their 5-year seasonal average.

With US-China tariff negotiations still unresolved, China retains room and incentive to rebuild inventories further in the coming months.
